PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience for a user using telephone meeting services and connecting a plurality of telephone terminals for a telephone meeting, enabling simultaneous calls. SOLUTION: The communication system is composed of a gateway apparatus 20, a communication connection apparatus 30 and a voice portal unit 40. The portal unit 40 has a function for showing the contents of communication services provided by the unit 40 to a portable telephone terminal 10, using voice signals, thereby making it select a specified communication service. The unit 40 has a function for registering specified information or communicably connecting the portable telephone terminal 10 to fixed telephone terminals 50, 50<SB>1</SB>according to the communication service selected by the terminal 10.
