PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by preventing an engaging groove and a hook piece positioned at the end of a leader tape from colliding with inner parts of a stopper pawl and a guide groove to be broken at the time of rewinding the tape in single reel tape cartridge. SOLUTION: A guide groove 23 for guiding the hook piece 17 provided at the tape end part and a stopper pawl 24 for capturing the engaging groove 18 of the tape end part by engaging with the groove 18 are arranged in an adjacent relation inside a case body 1 facing a front loading opening 6. A shock absorber 32 which holds the stopper pawl 24 at a stationary standby position and which is elastically deformable is arranged between the stopper pawl 24 and the case body 1. A conflict impact when a leader tape 4 collides with the stopper pawl 24 is softened and absorbed by the elastic deformation action of the shock absorber 32 and the groove end of the engaging groove 32 is prevented from being broken.
