PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping device capable of shortening labor and time for a work by unnecessitating a manual switching work of ON and OFF of a switch for fastening a bar, adjusting strength of fastening force and easily fitting and removing the bar. SOLUTION: This free ball clamping device 1 is provided with a supporting member 3 and a fastening member 4 fixed to be freely approached and separated to/from each other on a mounting platen 2, a recessed part 5 formed between facing side surfaces of the supporting member 3 and the fastening member 4 to hold the bar to form a wood frame, a cavity part 6 formed at the inside of the fastening member 4, a free ball 8 internally provided on the cavity part 6 so that a part may be projected from a side surface on the recessed part 5 side of the fastening member 4, an elastic member 9 for pressing the free ball 8 to the recessed part 5 side on the one end side, and an adjusting member 10 for adjusting pressing force of the elastic member 9 to the free ball 8.
