PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw shaft having no or very few crushing wrinkles on an outer diameter surface of a screw shaft material when manufacturing the screw shaft by form rolling a ball screw groove on the outer diameter surface. SOLUTION: The crushing wrinkles generated on the outer diameter surface of the screw shaft material are removed after form rolling the spiral ball screw groove on the outer diameter surface of the screw shaft material.
