PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finder diopter adjusting device which has improved assemblability and facilitates diopter adjustment in its manufacturing and assembly. SOLUTION: In the viewfinder diopter adjusting device of a viewfinder optical system for observing an object, a diopter adjusting lens concerned in diopter adjustment among the viewfinder optical system has a couple of fitting parts extending at right angles to a viewfinder optical axis, and a lens holding part for holding the diopter adjusting lens has a couple of 1st projections which extend along the viewfinder optical axis and have a 1st height and a couple of 2nd projections which are different in height form the 1st projections. The couple of fitting parts, the couple of 1st projections and the couple of 2nd projections are arranged so that the fitting parts and 1st projections are made to correspond to each other and in a state wherein the diopter adjusting lens is rotated around the viewfinder optical axis by 180°, the fitting parts and 2nd projections are made to correspond to each other.
