PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water supply apparatus for a small animal-rearing cage maintaining the rearing environment well, preventing drowning accidents, facilitating the drinking of water for the reared small animal and making the small animal scarcely escape from a water drinking hole without penetrating spilt water or leaked water into the rearing cage as the water supply apparatus for the small animal-rearing cage using a cage grommet engaged with an opening of a cage sidewall and a cylindrical automatic water supply valve. SOLUTION: The cage grommet 2 is provided with the drinking water hole 21 facing to an opening 3a on the front end of the cylindrical automatic water supply valve 3 and engaging holes 22 located on both sides of the drinking water hole 21 and engaging with engaging claws 41 provided in the tips of left and right lateral pieces 4c and 4c of an M-shaped clip 4, respectively. The lower edge side of the drinking water hole 21 is bulged to the inside of the rearing cage 1 to form a water receiving funnel part 23. The cylindrical automatic water supply valve 3 is kept in a state in which the opening 3a on the front end is located on the cage outer side of the upper edge 23a of the water receiving funnel part 23 and fixed through the M-shaped clip 4 to the cage grommet 2.
