Production of substrate for ink-jet printing conductive or light-emitting polymer solution for full-color display uses photoresists, first given high surface energy before masking with second and reducing surface energy in unmasked areas

Production of a substrate by applying and treating photoresist layers comprises: (a) application, exposure and development of a first photoresist layer (3); (b) surface treatment to provide this layer with high surface energy; (c) application, exposure and development of a second photoresist layer so that it partly covers the first; (d) surface treatment to reduce the substrate surface energy; and (e) removal of the second photoresist layer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) substrate (1), in which at least one surface consists of spatially structurized, discontinuous photoresist layer(s) with areas (3, 5) of high and low surface energy respectively and the area (2) without photoresist also has high surface energy; (2) substrate (1), in which at least one surface consists of spatially structurized, discontinuous photoresist layer(s) produced by the above process.
