Textile loom has direct drive linear electric motor for weft thread pick-up with linear action rotor and stator

A textile loom has a weft thread pick-up which is moved by a lifting component (1.3) with a direct-drive linear electric motor. The direct linear drive (1) consists of a rotor (1.8; 1.16) and stator (1.8; 1.16). The rotor (1.8; 1.16) movement (1.21) is parallel to that of the lifting component (1.3). The rotor (1.8) is coupled to the weft lifting component (1.3) by a suitable linkage (1.5). The direct drive also forms part of the electrical drive for the loom paddle. The component parts are mounted on a common frame.
