APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING STRIP SKEWNESS OF LOOPER CARRIAGE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for adjusting strip skewness of looper carriage is provided to prevent fracture of strip stored by sensing tension of operating chain for vertically moving carriage in which supporting rolls are installed and adjusting tension of the chain during there is something wrong with tension of the chain. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for adjusting skewness of strip stored as forming looper on strip supporting rolls installed in an upper carriage(110) vertically moved by operating chain(112) and a lower carriage fixed to a lower side of tower, the apparatus(1) for adjusting strip skewness of looper carriage comprises a base(10) installed at one side of the operating chain(112) on the upper carriage(110); a chain tension adjusting part(30) which is installed on the base(10) in such a manner that the chain tension adjusting part(30) is moved back and forth and equipped with an operating sprocket(32) clamped to the operating chain(112) to adjust tension of the operating chain(112); and a tension sensing means(50) installed at the chain tension adjusting part(30) to sense tension of the operating chain(112) by operating sprocket bracket(34) integrally moved during backward movement of the operating sprocket(32).
