<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost and size of an optically fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: The optically fixing device 31 includes a xenon flash tube 32 for generating an ultraviolet ray having a wavelength region which can optically fix both a yellow heat-sensitive color developing layer 54 and a magenta heat-sensitive color developing layer 53, a yellow fixing region 39 and a magenta fixing region 40 provided on a conveying path of a color heat-sensitive recording sheet 10, and a diffraction grating 34 for isolating the ultraviolet ray and supplying the ray to a wavelength region in response to respective heat sensitive color developing layers to respective fixing regions 39, 40. A microcomputer 61 controls a drive of a shutter 45 for the yellow via a shutter driver 68 for the yellow based on a measured result of a yellow illuminance sensor 43 when the yellow and the magenta are simultaneously fixed to regulate so that an amount of illumination of the ray becomes a target value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
