<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly simulate behavior of a solid-liquid mixed-phase fluid, and use it for service life prediction and design of a pump or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A flow velocity vector at each point of time at each point in a passage is calculated (S1). Solid particles are randomly arranged in a virtual sense in the passage (S3), and by solving the equation of motion regarding a rigid sphere model and the equation of motion regarding torque, the acceleration vector and the rotational angular velocity vector of each particle at each point of time is calculated, and the moving velocity vector of the particle is calculated (S4). Particles colliding with a wall surface or other particles up until a next point of time are determined (S5), and the impact vector with the wall surface is calculated by calculating the velocity vector and the rotational angular velocity after collision of the particle (S6). Position of the particle at the next point of time is determined (S9), and after repetitively executing the calculation a predetermined number of times, the magnitude of the impact vector, impact angle and impact frequency in each point of the passage wall surface are determined, and they are displayed along with an image of the wall surface (S10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
