<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer powder composition which keeps an excellent powder state, is purified in a nonconventional high purity, has a reduced smell and causes no quality deterioration and to provide a highly efficient method for producing the composition. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the purified powder polymer composition using a supercritical fluid, the powder polymer composition (powder ABS resin, 0.31 g/cm<SP>3</SP>bulk density) is brought into contact with the supercritical fluid (carbon dioxide, 15 MPa) at a temperature lower than the glass transition temperature (40°C) of the powder ABS resin and unnecessary compounds contained (residual monomer, toluene, ethylbenzene, residual oligomer, residual fatty acid, etc.) except the ABS resin are removed to≤1.00 mass % of the purified powder ABS resin and the smell is concurrently removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
