<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club grip which has a resilient strip whose upper end is loosened from the handle of the golf club when the golf club is taken out from a golf bag. <P>SOLUTION: This golf club grip includes a resilient strip spirally wrapped about an underlying sleeve U having a cap 22 and a nipple 24. The underside of the cap 22 is formed with an upwardly facing circumferential slot 26 that receives the upper edge of the strip.
