PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance support system capable of preventing generation of a human mistake at the time of maintenance work. SOLUTION: Control terminal stations 300 arranged on waysides at prescribed intervals make radio communications with a maintenance support server 100 and, at a maintenance site, with a potable terminal 400 held by a watchman, responsible person or the like to conduct information communication between the maintenance support server 100 and the portable terminal 400. The maintenance support server 100 collects TID information from a TID central unit 600, receives pre-work information from the portable terminal 400 to recognize maintenance work, and transmits it to a portable terminal 400 for notice information, such as maintenance train approaching or delay of a passing train in a working time zone, for each recognized working location.
