PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed sash window capable of reducing the number of components and simplifying the mounting work to a building. SOLUTION: The fixed sash window is formed by mounting a Shoji 30 incorporating a face plate 34 therein to a window frame 10, a bottom rail 32 of the Shoji 30 is locked with a sill 12, it is fixed to one of head 11 or a top rail 31, an engaging member 40 having an engaging section 43 engaged with an engaged section 37 formed in the other can move the engaging section 43 to a position in an engaged state and a position in a disengaged state, the engaged state is maintained by a regulating means regulating the movement to the position in the disengaged state of the engaging section 43 to fix the Shoji 30 to the window frame 10. Accordingly, the Shoji 30 falls down to the window frame 10 or it can be surely mounted to the window frame without being come off even if stiles 33 are not fixed to jambs 10 and, at the same time, the Shoji 30 can be fixed only by work for fixing the top rail 31, so that the number of components can be reduced to decrease working labor.
