PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inkjet recording capable of uniformly forming ink dots even in an speed acceleration and deceleration region of a carriage. SOLUTION: The wave shape pattern data of a recording period A in the acceleration recording region A or the speed deceleration recording region A, the waveshape pattern data of a recording period B in the speed acceleration recording region B or the speed deceleration recording region B, and the wave shape pattern data of a recording region C in a constant speed recording region, are read out from a ROM 13 to form a waveshape for one period of an ink discharge driving signal. The waveshape pattern of the recording period A, the waveshape pattern of the recording period B, and the waveshape pattern of the recording period C, are respectively set by intervals capable of generating ink discharge driving signals generating a series of ink discharge pulse waveshapes at approximately equal intervals, in a range of the speed acceleration recording region A or the speed deceleration recording region A, in the speed acceleration recording region B or the speed deceleration recording region B, and in the constant speed recording region.
