The air flow channel, and especially the air intake pipe (1) for a vehicle internal combustion motor, has a plastics channel body (2) with inserted sound-absorbent wall sections (10,11) with at least one free outer side. The inserts are formed by a sound-absorbent layer (15) of a porous and air-permeable material, between a carrier nonwoven (16) and a covering nonwoven (17). An edge zone of the wall inserts is encapsulated by injection molding of the plastics channel body around it, so that each insert is held at the channel body in a positive fit.
