摘要 PURPOSE: An abrasion inspection system for a pantograph of an electric railcar is provided to prevent a large utility accident by detecting and monitoring an abrasion degree through the analysis of a pantograph image captured in a remote place, and to prevent a security accident occurred when a worker personally detects the abrasion of the pantograph. CONSTITUTION: To detect a front face and the pantograph of the electric railcar, sensors(11,12) are installed to an entry rail. To capture a number and the pantograph of the electric railcar, the CCD(Charge Coupled Device) cameras(1,2) are installed to the entry rail. A controller(10) controls operation of the CCD cameras and an image processor(5) by the input of the sensors. The image processor converts the image for the number and the pantograph into the data for the OCR(Optical Character Recognition) and the object edge detection. A host computer(13) detects the number of the electric railcar and the abrasion of the pantograph by analyzing the data, and decides a replacement time of the pantograph. A monitor(15) displays an analysis result.
