An automated method including automatic provision of additional display of a number of identifiers identifying information sources for assisting a user of the client system in retrieving and browsing information is disclosed. Under the method, in response to the retrieval and display on a display of a client system a first information page responsive to user direction, the additional display is provided. The information source identifiers are dynamically assembled, based at least in part on the content of said first information page. In one embodiment, a thumbnail corresponding to the information page identified by an information page identifier is also provided responsive to a user event.
