<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ink jet recording material which shows high whiteness and glossiness not realized by a conventional technique and outstanding hue and water resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an ink jet recording material obtained by applying a coating solution for an ink receiving layer containing at least an inorganic fine particle, a polyvinyl alcohol and an anionic fluorescent whitening agent to a support, a solution obtained by mixing a part of the entirety of the polyvinyl alcohol with the anionic fluorescent whitening agent is previously manufactured, and the mixed solution of the polyvinyl alcohol and the anionic fluorescent whitening agent and a dispersion obtained by dispersing the inorganic fine particle, are mixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
