PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a filter mounting part from being large in the case where a SUS sintered filter of a large sheet thickness is used. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording head has an ink tank 14 which stores ink, a recording element part where jet opening nozzles for jetting ink are formed, an ink supply member for guiding ink supplied from the ink tank to the recording element part, and the filter 90 set at an ink channel of the ink supply member. The filter 90 is a SUS sintered body of a metal nonwoven fabric, having the sheet thickness of a peripheral end more compressed so that a filter surface step×2 becomes larger than a resin coating height×1. A supply failure is prevented when connecting the filter to the ink tank, thus enabling stable ink supply. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
