<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer foil for a genuineness judgement element which shows outstanding forgery-proof effect using the optical activity and selective reflecting properties of a cholesteric liquid crystal and easily judges genuineness. <P>SOLUTION: This transfer foil 1 has a release and protective layer 12 formed on a base film 11 and a cholesteric liquid crystal layer 13 which shows selective reflecting properties and generates a color change depending on a viewing angle, formed on the release and protective layer.
