<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate wheel braking force corresponding to a parking and stop condition of a vehicle by occupant's switch operation and increase durability of a movable part of a brake mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A parking brake device of the vehicle is provided with a parking brake mechanism giving braking force to wheels by operation of a motor 65 and a brake controller 50 controlling operation of the brake mechanism. The brake controller has release mode for generating no wheel braking force in the brake mechanism as brake control mode, parking mode for generating predetermined wheel braking force in the brake mechanism, and further pulling mode for generating larger wheel braking force than that in parking mode in the brake mechanism. It is provided with an operation switch 61 for transmitting an operation signal corresponding to occupant's operation for the brake controller 50 to select brake control mode of the brake controller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
