PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To delete moving picture data of a copy source whose dubbing is finished by providing information representing contents of moving picture data dubbed to both first and second storage media after the moving picture data are dubbed from the copy source (first storage medium) to a copy destination (second storage medium of a moving picture storage apparatus). SOLUTION: In dubbing moving picture data from the source medium (first storage medium) of the copy source to a hard disk (second storage medium) in the moving picture storage apparatus, copy information indicating a dubbed range is stored in the first storage medium of the copy source and the second storage medium of the copy destination, and the moving picture data dubbed to the hard disk are automatically deleted from the first storage medium based on the copy information to reduce the problem of a deficient capacity of the first storage medium when a video camera of the copy source makes photographing.
