PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and adequately perform optical axis adjustment of a plurality of lenses by simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: A rear lens barrel 5 is shifted in a direction approximately orthogonal to the optical axis relative to an intermediate lens barrel 4 in the state a zooming lens 13 is positioned at a wide angle end. While a pair of guide shafts 23a and 23b are being inclined relative to a front lens barrel 3, the optical axis of a focusing lens 18 is adjusted relative to a lens 14 fixed to the lens barrel 4 and thereafter the lens barrel 5 is fixed to the lens barrel 4. Also, the lens barrel 3 is shifted in the direction approximately orthogonal to the optical axis relative to the lens barrel 4 in the state the zooming lens 13 is positioned at a telephoto end. While a pair of the guide shafts 23a and 23b are inclined relative to the lens barrel 5, the optical axis of the lens 9 fixed to the lens barrel 3 is adjusted relative to the zooming lens 13. After the optical axes of the lens 9 fixed to the lens barrel 3 and the zooming lens 13 are adjusted relative to the lens 14 fixed to the lens barrel 4, the lens barrel 3 is fixed to the lens barrel 4.
