PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily cosmetic especially a solid oily cosmetic exhibiting excellent breaching effects possessed by an ascorbic acid derivative, and skin-ameliorating activities by discovering an ascorbic acid derivative having good solubility in an oily substrate, solution stability of hardly causing crystal deposition with the lapse of time, and chemical stability. SOLUTION: The oily cosmetic satisfying the solubility, the solution stability and the chemical stability, and exhibiting the excellent bleaching effects and the skin-ameliorating activities is obtained by using a tetra branched fatty acid ester derivative of the L-ascorbic acid, preferably L-ascorbyl tetra-isopalmitate.
