PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the gradient of a backrest of a chair in a simple constitution and an operation. SOLUTION: The upper part of the backrest 2 is engaged with the lower part of a backrest support frame 3 attached so as to turn left/right about a shaft and the lower part of the backrest 2 is engaged with the lower part of the support frame 3 at a plurality of positions in the forward/backward directions.
