A tensile band extending from the exit opening (20) of the press vessel (2) to a guide inside the vessel is used to support and guide the drainage part (14) as it is being introduced into and removed from the vessel. The press (1) comprises a closed vessel with an internal volume divided by at least one press membrane into a pressurised medium region and a press region. A filling and discharge opening (8) sealable with a cover is provided in the vessel wall. A juice channel (10) located in the press region is used to remove liquid via an exit opening containing a removable liquid-permeable drainage part releasably held in place inside the vessel by two holder devices.
