Real time transfer of moving picture data is performed by a general-purpose communication standard. A compressed mode and non-compressed mode are available. In case of the non-compressed mode, the moving picture data is not subjected to compression/encoding and non-compressed data is transferred to a computer (3). Preferably, non-compressed image data is down-sampled by a scaler (29) to reduce the data size before being transferred. It is possible to eliminate time delay attributed to image data compression/decompression.
