WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to reduce consumption of washing water by recycling and injecting washing water, and to prevent damage or entanglement of the laundry by applying horizontal or vertical impact to the laundry with converting simple rotation of a motor into turn of a washboard. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine is composed of a washing shaft(13) vertically installed in the lower center of an inner tub(5) and rotated by receiving rotational force of a motor; a washboard(200) turning around the center of rotation of the washing shaft and forming water stream; and a motion converter(100) converting rotation of the washing shaft into turn of the washboard. The lower part of the motion converter is combined with the washing shaft, and a base(110) having an eccentric shaft combined with the washboard is formed in the upper part of the motion converter. The motion converter includes a counterweight(130) for compensating the imbalance of mass of the base and the washboard.
