摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guiding device capable of improving luminance and light use efficiency of light to be guided without increasing the size of the device. <P>SOLUTION: This light guiding device 1 is provided with a rod lens 3 for guiding light entered from incident parts 7 to an emission part 9. The rod lens 3 is equipped with a plurality of the incident parts 7. Each incident part 7 is equipped with a diffraction grating 4. The diffraction grating 4 is used for emitting light at an angle different from the incident angle to the diffraction grating 4. The light guiding device is so structured that, in each incident part 7, the side relatively close to the emission part 9 emits light at a relatively small outgoing angle, and the side relatively far from the emission part 9 emits light at a relatively large outgoing angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
