STRUCTURE GENERATING HYDROXY RADICAL AND DEODORIZATION METHOD USING THE STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure having a deodorizing capacity high enough to dissolve odorant substances sticking to the structure.

SOLUTION: The structure S1 is made by forming a film 20 made of a polyaniline or a polyaniline derivative as a hydroxy radical generating member generating a hydroxy radical by extracting electrons from water 30 on the surface of an insulating member 10 made of a material having an electrical insulating property such as a resin or a ceramic. The odorant substances sticking to the structure S1 are dissolved and oxidized with the hydroxy radical generated by contacting the film 20 with the water 30.
