<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system for determining polarity of reflection wave from an interior of a subject to be detected. <P>SOLUTION: In an impulse modulation radar system, the interior of the subject is detected by processing received wave Z(t). This radar system is constituted such that this system processes the received wave based on a reference wave having same frequency band as the impulse transmission wave, as for the processing of the received wave, a discrete digital time sequential signal Z(n) is obtained by AD transform the received signal, a power spectrum P(f) is obtained by Fourier transform the discrete digital time sequential signal, an amplitude spectrum Q(t) and a phase spectrum R(t) are obtained by Fourier transform the power spectrum again, the polarity of reflected wave from the interior of the subject is determined by obtaining a time difference spectrum tr using the amplitude spectrum, at the same time a phaseΘtr corresponding to the time difference is obtained by using the phase spectrum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
