<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply realize distance measurement at higher accuracy than quantized unit of distance determined by a modulation frequency width in a frequency modulated continuous wave system. <P>SOLUTION: Intermediate frequency signal which is an output of frequency modulated continuous wave system is analyzed, and feedback is applied to frequency control of a transmitter, and the intermediate frequency signal is made a contiguous sine wave overlapping frequency sweep sections. The frequency of the intermediate frequency signal is measured at high accuracy for longer time than frequency sweep time, or distance measurement is conducted at high frequency than the quantized unit of distance from the information of frequency control signal which was regarded difficult before. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
