<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst deterioration suppressing device for suppressing the deterioration of an exhaust gas purifying catalyst for purifying harmful materials in an exhaust gas from an engine, minimizing fuel consumption worsening. <P>SOLUTION: Fuel supply to the engine can be stopped during decelerating travel of the engine.
