PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter mounting structure which reduces a material cost and the number of assembly processes and which makes an optical filter detachable from and mountable on the front face. SOLUTION: The cross section of a front panel 2 is substantially rectangular and a flange part 1a extended from a rear cover 1 is abutting on the back face of the panel 2. A through hole 1b is provided on the flange part 1a, and a screw hole 2b is provided on the back face of the front panel 2 corresponding to the through hole 1b. The rear cover 1 and the front panel 2 are fixed with a screw 5. Further, a groove 2a is provided on the inner circumference of an open port of the front panel 2, and a projected part 2c is provided on the side face of the inner wall of the groove 2a. On the other hand, a recessed part 4a corresponding to the projected part 2c is provided on the side face of a holder 4, and the projected and the recessed parts are engaged when the holder 4 is inserted into the groove 2a.
