PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect any anomaly in a regenerating means with the circuit and the space saved and facilitate troubleshooting against regeneration troubles. SOLUTION: A regeneration failure detector comprises a means for detecting the direct-current voltage value of a direct-current voltage portion preceding an AC servo driver inverter; the regenerating means which, when increase in direct-current voltage value is detected, turns on a transistor for regeneration and consumes power through a resistor for regeneration connected in series to suppress increase in voltage; and a means which, if the voltage increases and exceeds the detected voltage, judges that regeneration is not properly carried out.
