PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform transmission of e-mail and image processing of the received e-mail when image information is transmitted as e-mail from a client personal computer to a multifunction image processor. SOLUTION: A LAN (local area network) 1 is connected to the client personal computer 2, the multifunction image processor 3 capable of transmitting and receiving e-mail, and a mail server 4. The image information is transmitted and received as the e-mail between the client personal computer 2 and the multifunction image processor 3. The multifunction image processor 3 has for example a user ID like "printÐricoh.co.jp" indicative of the display of image processing functions, and a password. When the e-mail is transmitted from the client personal computer 2 to the multifunction image processor 3 by using this user ID, the multifunction image processor 3 automatically prints out the received e-mail by means of one of the image processing functions "print" included in the user ID.
