PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily align the direction of a photographing optical axis with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 comprises a camera body 11 and a tray 12. The bottom part 15 of the camera body 11 is formed to have a curved face, and a secondary battery 21 serving as the power for the camera body 11 moves along the curved face of the bottom part 15. A recessed part 35 with a circular-arc shape whose radius of curvature is greater than that of the curved face of the bottom part 15 is formed on the upper face of the tray 12. When the bottom part 15 is adaptively placed on the recessed part 35, the camera body 11 is balanced and comes to a standstill so that the secondary battery 21 is placed at the lowest position. When the position of a tilt adjusting lever 19 is changed to move the position of the secondary battery 21, the balancing position of the camera body 11 is changed to align the direction of the imaging optical axis L.
