PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a money processing unit, of a vending machine, which has a simple configuration and is suitable for preventing the missing of commodity sales chances by appropriately and clearly demonstrating the status of the presence/absence of change secured inside the vending machine to assist the behavior of a commodity purchaser necessary for commodity sales (purchase). SOLUTION: The vending machine has a change presence/absence determination means which makes a determination on the presence/absence of change which can be paid out as a change for every kind of money individually; and a plurality of indicators which are provided in correspondence with each of the plurality of the kinds of money, and is alternatively driven for displaying by changing a display mode individually upon receiving the determination result obtained with the change presence/absence determination means.
