PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel member passing device which can shorten index time without increasing the number of components of the device, can increase the processing capability thereof, and can suppress the rising of the production cost thereof. SOLUTION: A pair of right and left movable portions 7 attached movably in a Z direction are attached to an X-driving portion 12 moving laterally due to the rotation of a ball screw 2 by a servo motor 1, and each two contact hands 5 are attached thereto via a core controlling mechanism 8. A Z-driving portion 6 is attached slidably in an X direction to the movable portions 7. The Z-driving portion 6 is engaged with the ball screw 4 which is connected to the servo motor 3. Upon rotation of the ball screw 4 by the servo motor 4, the Z-driving portion 6 moves vertically as shown in the figures to raise the movable portions 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
