PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetostrictive torque sensor shaft, a torque sensor shaft for a magnetostrictive torque sensor, for reducing output variations caused by a temperature gradient in a torque sensor shaft. SOLUTION: The magnetostrictive torque sensor shaft 2 includes a magnetic anisotropic part 5. The magnetostrictive torque sensor shaft 2 is provided with a layer in contact with the magnetic anisotropic part 5 and having thermal conductivity higher than the material that forms the magnetic anisotropic part 5.
