PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material for tiling at low cost without hindering workability when tiling. SOLUTION: This building material for tiling is formed of a wall bedding plate 2 formed of a board having a smooth surface and possible to be fixed to a wall base material 10, and a long size body 8 having a cross section formed by integrally providing a base part 7, which is formed along the surface of a wall bedding plate 2, with an extension piece 6 to be engaged with a back surface engagement groove 4 of a tile 5. The long size body 8 and the wall bedding plate 2 are fixed to each other by a fastening member 9 driven into the wall base material 10 from the base part 7 of the long size body 8.
