PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition suitable for making a base rubber of a tread part or a belt rubber high modulus/low loss to extremely improve drivability and exothermic properties of a tire; and to provide the tire using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts. wt. rubber component with (B) 0.1-30 pts. wt. bismaleimide derivative represented by general formula (I) (wherein, A is a 6-30C divalent aromatic group; and x and y are each an integer of 0-3), and (C) 2-50 pts. wt. fine carbon fiber.
