PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous sterilization method having an enhanced chlorine sterilization power, using oxidation reduction reaction in electrodes by causing a minute current to flow to raw water to be treated, typically, tap water used in a water piping system, that is, raw water which contains residual chlorine and/or chlorine bonded matter and in which chlorine ions coexist in addition. SOLUTION: An anode is provided so as to be exposed to water in the water pipe of a water pipe system wherein a function other than water arranging function is added to the water pipe and a conductor coming into contact with the outer surface part of the water pipe electrically connected to the inner surface of the water pipe or coming into contact with the water pipe is used as a cathode to constitute a current continuity piping system and a current with an output of 0.5 to 4 mA is made to flow to water of the current continuity piping system.
