PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with a firm structure by which an armrest is properly reclined backward with a reclining movement, and also burden is sufficiently relieved even when a large load is added to the front end of the armrest. SOLUTION: The respective lower ends of arm frames 12 which are extended to the upper part of a seat 10 at the sides of the seat 10, and include the armrests 11 on the respective upper ends are fixed to each intermediate part in a front and rear direction of each horizontal part 8a in the lower parts of a backrest support rods 8.
