The device has an image surface provided with a raster of controlled point elements (1), each of which has at least one colored mirror (3), provided on the flat viewing side by a transparent container, coupled via a channel (6) with a color pigment container (5) having an electronically controlled pressure, allowing the color pigment to be transported to and from the colored mirror. The color pigment container has a movable wall (30) acting as a pump element and dividing the container into a color pigment chamber (31) and a gas chamber (32), respectively coupled to opposite sides of the colored mirror.
