PURPOSE: A method of downloading a multimedia file to an optical disc and the optical disc are provided to rapidly read attribute information of the multimedia file. CONSTITUTION: A directory is constructed using attribute information of data included in a multimedia file. The multimedia file is downloaded to an optical disc according to the directory. The directory is recorded in a predetermined region of the optical disc. The multimedia file includes MP3, AAC and QDX files. The multimedia file is an MP3 file, and the attribute information is included in ID3 tag. The multimedia file is a music file and the attribute information includes a song title, the name of a singer and a file size. The optical disc includes a compact disc, a digital convergence disc and digital video disc.
