<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flip flop and a shift register, whose layout areas are small. <P>SOLUTION: A data input terminal executes input to one terminal in a first switch element and the other terminal of the first switch element executes input to an input terminal of a first invertor element. An output of the first invertor element is inputted to one terminal of a second switch element and the other terminal of the second switch element executes input to an input terminal of a second inverter element.
