<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling path recording system and portable terminal equipment for accurately recording the traveling path of a user without increasing the scale of device configurations. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic field generating device for generating a magnetic field including information to specify a predetermined facility is set on the path of the facility. Also, portable terminal equipment 50 is provided with a magnetic sensor 52. When a user who carries the portable terminal equipment 50 passes the path of the facility, a magnetic sensor 52 detects a magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating device set on the path, and a microcomputer 51 decodes a signal obtained from the magnetic field to acquire information related with the facility. Then, the microcomputer 51 stores a time measured by a measuring part 53 and the information acquired by decoding in a memory 57.
